To log in, go to Flashline. Click on the My Courses tab, and then click Vista single sign-on.
Do NOT bookmark Vista (or Add to favorites).
Are your user name and password valid, and have you typed them both correctly?
Vista uses your FlashLine user name and password. If the username/password is not recognized, you may see an error message like, ” ERROR: username/password pair not found.
If you need assistance, contact your system administrator.
Check for the Caps Lock key. If you don’t know your FlashLine ID or password, contact the Helpdesk at 330-672-HELP or helpdesk@kent.edu.
If you think your instructors are using Vista for their courses, contact them and make sure that they have given you access to the course.
Have you resolved the computer configuration problems?
Go through the minimum computer requirements and other browser settings page and make sure your computer is configured properly.
If you can log in to Vista (you see the “My Blackboard” page), but you can’t get to your class, check the following:
- Does this class use Vista?
Your class may not be using Vista. Check with the instructor of the class to verify that the class is in fact using Vista.
- Are you enrolled in this class?
If you have verified that the class is using Vista, but you do not see it in your Course List, then you may not be enrolled in the class. If you have just added the class, you should be automatically enrolled within one business day.
If you do not see your course even after one day has elapsed, please contact your instructor immediately or contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@kent.edu, 330-672-HELP. When contacting the Helpdesk, please provide your Course Name, Number, Instructor’s Name, etc. If you do not wish to wait for the one business day to elapse, your instructor can also add you to the class roster manually. Contact your instructor.
