Your instructors may include materials in Vista courses that require certain browser “plug-ins” or “readers.” In order to access these materials, students may have to download and install these objects onto the computer they use to access Vista. This download page has various plug-ins and readers.

Readers and Applications
Adobe Reader - Download and install to read Portable Document Format (.pdf) files.
Powerpoint Viewer - Download and install to view PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps and .pptx) presentations.
Excel Viewer - Download and install to view Excel (.xls) spreadsheets.
Media Player Downloads
Flashplayer - Download and install to play flash animations (.swf).
Quicktime - Download and install to play video and music.
Real Player - Download and install to play video and music.
Shockwave - Download and install to play shockwave animations (.dcr).
Browsers
Before you download a browser, ensure that the browser is validated and supported for use with Vista 8.
