Courses Available for Spring 2010

Most Spring 2010 course (ending in 201010 ) are available in Vista 8.0 now.Please check and follow the steps below as they apply to you, as soon as possible:

1. Registrars Schedule of Classes: Make certain that your courses are in the “Registrars Schedule of Classes”. If your courses are not in the “Registrars Schedule of Classes”, your department scheduler can add them for you. You can access the Registrars Schedule of Classes through this link: http://www.registrars.kent.edu/ScheduleOfClasses/

2. Login to Vista 8.0: Go to flashline at http://www.kent.edu. After logging in, you can click on the “My Courses” tab, and then click on “Vista Single Sign On” on the left hand side of the page (under “Tools & Research). You can also login to Vista 8.0 directly by going to http://vista8.kent.edu and clicking on “Kent State University”

3. Verify your Courses in Vista: Check your course list in Vista. If courses are missing, contact your Department Scheduler first, and have them set the course correctly in Banner. If they are still missing, and they are in the “Registrars Schedule of Classes”, call the Help Desk.

4. Combine: If you would like to combine courses, please do so as soon as possible. This must be done in advance of the fall semester.

5.Student Roster: Check your Grade book (under Teach Tab) as soon as possible. If you do not see all students in the course, notify us at vistasupport@kent.edu with Course Name, No. Section no. and CRN(s) asap.

6. Content: When a course is accessed in Vista 8.0, by an instructor, the instructor is given an opportunity to copy content from another course in which they are enrolled (as instructor), to their new course. This feature can only be used one time. If for some reason, something went wrong, the course can be reset. To have this reset please call, or email vista support.

7. Content from Vista 3.0: (older version): If you would like content to be copied from Vista 3.0 to Vista 8.0 please fill this form as soon as possible: Content Migration

8. Have guest students in the course?: If you have guest students or students from other universities or community that will be taking your course please call the Helpdesk as soon as possible so that their accounts can be created. We will not be able to process your request for guest student accounts.
